Senate confirms Ratcliffe as CIA director
Ratcliffe, following former GOP Sen. Marco Rubio as secretary of State, is Trump's second high-level appointment for the new administration.
The Senate on Thursday confirmed John Ratcliffe as the next CIA director.
The vote for the President Donald Trump nominee in the 100-member chamber, in which the GOP has the majority of seats, was 74-25.
Ratcliffe, following former GOP Sen. Marco Rubio as secretary of State, is Trump's second high-level appointment for the new administration.
Ratcliffe is a former congressman from Texas who served as Trump’s director of national intelligence for the last eight months of his first term, according to the Associated Press
