President Donald Trump presented the World Cup trophy to Spain after the team defeated Argentina in the final match on Sunday.

Trump and FIFA President Gianni Infantino also presented the medals to the players.

Trump said at a FIFA reception on Friday that serving as the host country for the World Cup was a big win for the U.S.

“It turned out we were a soccer country, and I think it’s going to remain,” Trump said at Trump Tower in New York City. “This has really brought the world together.”

The final match began at 3pm ET on Sunday.

Spain won the match 1-0 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
