Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey defeated Rep. Seth Moulton on Tuesday night for the Democratic nomination for Senate, according to the Associated Press.

The outlet called the race for Markey at 8:31 p.m. Eastern, with 73% of the vote going to Markey and just 26.2% for Moulton, and 3% of the votes counted.

Markey will now face Republican nominee John Deaton, who ran unopposed, in the November 3 general election.
