DOJ to investigate prosecution of anti-abortion protesters under Biden: report
The Department of Justice is expected to release the report as early as next week.
The Justice Department is purportedly set to release a report that shows anti-abortion advocates were targeted undert the Biden administration for their religious beliefs.
The announcement about the report was made Thursday by MS NOW, which cited unnamed sources and a pre-publication draft of the report.
President Donald Trump's pardons of two dozen defendants convicted during the Biden administration of various illegal activities in the course of protesting abortion. These charges included blockading abortion clinics, violent threats and verbal assaults.
The report characterizes the defendants as having been targeted for their traditional Christian views.
A Justice Department spokesperson declined to comment but pointed to acting Attorney General Todd Blanche’s remarks Tuesday at a press conference during which he said the public should expect the results of DOJ weaponization investigations soon.
