President Donald Trump plans to go on patrol with D.C. law enforcement on Thursday evening to review his crackdown on crime, homelessness, and illegal immigration in the nation's capital.

"I'm going to be going out tonight, I think, with the police and with the military, of course. We're going to do a job," he said on the Todd Starnes Show.

"We're doing a sort of a test, right now in D.C.," Trump added. "Unfortunately, we have many cities like that." During the interview, Trump suggested he was open to expanding his crackdown to other American cities, with Starnes urging the president to consider Memphis as a candidate for a similar operation.

"President Trump tells me that he's going out on patrol tonight with DC law enforcement and the military," Starnes confirmed in a social media post. Trump spoke with Starnes for roughly 20 minutes on Thursday morning, with the syndicated radio host airing the interview at noon.
