A prosecutor in eastern Idaho said misdemeanor drug charges against Olympic gold medalist skier Bode Miller will be dismissed.

County Prosecutor Lindsey Blake said in a statement to the Associated Press that her office had "sufficient probable cause to arrest Mr. Miller," but her office determined, based on information it received, that it was in the interest of justice to dismiss the charges. Blake said she wouldn't be providing details on the information her office received because it's related to another case.

Online court records related to Miller’s case list another man who was charged with the same crimes.

Miller was arrested in June in Idaho and pleaded not guilty to possessing psilocybin mushrooms, a hallucinogenic drug.

Miller stated in a post on Instagram that an officer pulled him over after he had sped up to pass a vehicle on the highway. His friend had a small amount of marijuana and a pipe, which Miller said he wasn't aware his friend had. He said he cooperated with the office and expected the charges would be dropped once the facts were reviewed. The post doesn't mention mushrooms.
