TV personality Savannah Guthrie offered to pay for the safe return of her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, who has been missing for more than a week and is believed to have been abducted from her home near Tucson, Arizona.

Authorities are investigating the disappearance as a possible kidnapping and so far there aren't any publicly named suspects.

In a video posted Saturday on Instagram alongside her siblings, the Today show co-anchor directly appealed to whoever may be holding Nancy hostage.

“We received your message, and we understand,” Guthrie said, according to the recording obtained by the Associated Press. “This is the only way we will have peace. This is very valuable to us, and we will pay.”

The family’s message came after authorities said they received communications claiming to be from the person who took Nancy Guthrie.

Law enforcement officials, including the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, are trying to verify any leads.
