The suspect in a Monday mass shooting in the San Francisco Bay Area town of Half Moon Bay faces seven counts of murder, among other charges, the San Mateo District Attorney's office announced Wednesday.

Chunli Zhao will also face one count of attempted murder, a special circumstance allegation of multiple murder, and firearm use enhancements for each murder charge, the LA Times reported

Zhao first allegedly killed four and injured one more victim at a mushroom farm, before driving to a second farm where he killed three more, the Associated Press reported. Zhao appears to have worked at both farms.

He was detained Monday evening at a sheriff's substation.
