Three injured in shooting an upscale South Florida mall

Three people were injured Saturday in a shooting at an upscale South Florida mall, according to news and police reports that the incident started as a fight between two groups.

The incident occurred in the city of Aventura, north of Miami. 

Live aerial televised news footage showed mall patrons running from the Aventura Mall after reports of gunfire as law enforcement vehicles converged at the scene, according to the Associated Press. 

An Aventura police spokesman said the shooting-related injuries were not life-threatening and that they have no report on what started the incident. 

Aventura Police also tweeted that several suspects are custody and being questioned by detectives.
