Actor Ray Stevenson dies at 58
Stevenson was best known for his role as Volstagg in the Marvel "Thor" films and for playing a heavily fictionalized version of Roman legionary Titus Pullo in HBO's "Rome."
Actor Ray Stevenson died on Sunday at the age of 58.
Stevenson's publicist, Nicki Fioravante, confirmed his passing to the Hollywood Reporter. He was reportedly hospitalized on the Mediterranean island of Ischia while filming for "Cassino on Ischia."
The cause of death has not been made public as of press time.
Stevenson was best known for his role as Volstagg in the Marvel "Thor" films and for playing a heavily fictionalized version of Roman legionary Titus Pullo in HBO's "Rome."
He is further expected to appear in the upcoming Star Wars spinoff "Ahsoka" and has previously appeared in Star Wars as the voice of Gar Saxon.
