Heir to Anheuser-Busch fortune says his ancestors would have been upset over Dylan Mulvaney ad
Bud Light made headlines when the company started a partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
An heir to the Anheuser-Busch fortune, Billy Busch, said in a recent interview that his ancestors' would not have been thrilled with Dylan Mulvaney's partnership with Bud Light.
"I think my family — my ancestors would have rolled over in their graves," Busch said in an interview with TMZ's Harvey Levin.
"They believed that transgender, um, gays, that sort of thing was all a very personal issue," he continued. "They loved this country because it is a free country and people are allowed to do what they want, but it was never meant to be on a beer can and pushed in people's faces."

After the partnership sparked backlash, Anheuser-Busch had its value plummet by more than $5 billion.
"I just don't think the audience that drinks beer is into transgenders," Busch said, according to the Washington Examiner. "People who drink beer care about wholesome things."
Mulvaney emerged as a social media sensation after transitioning from male to female in 2021 and has a TikTok account documenting each day of the transformation.
