Luis Rubiales says he will resign as Spanish soccer federation president over kissing scandal
"I cannot continue my work," Rubiales said.
Luis Rubiales said on Sunday he plans to resign from his position as president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation after receiving widespread criticism for kissing Spanish player Jenni Hermoso on the lips without her consent after her team won the Women's World Cup final.
"I cannot continue my work," Rubiales said on "Piers Morgan Uncensored."
Rubiales had said last month that he would not resign. Last week, however, Hermoso filed a sexual assault complaint against Rubiales.
