A new poll indicates that a supermajority of Americans agree Disney is wrong to voice opposition to the Florida bill that bans the teaching of sexual orientation and gender identity to students in grades K-3.

The poll by conservative-leaning news outlet the Daily Wire first asked potential respondents whether they knew Disney opposes the bill, then asks if they think Disney's opposition is correct or incorrect.

Sixty-seven percent (67%) of voters agreed that "Disney is wrong. This proposal would protect children from inappropriate topics that should be discussed by parents."

One-third (33%) of voters answered that "Disney is right. This proposal would be harmful to the LGBTQ community."

Among voters who identified themselves as Disney consumers, 61% said the company was wrong, and 39% said the corporation's stance is correct.

Florida Lt. Gov. Jeannette Nuñez, told the Daily Wire the poll is evidence that Disney brand is primarily family-oriented and should strive to remain focused on the values of its consumers.

"Disney is a corporation with a family-friendly brand," she said. "They should remember that the same families who take their kids to Disney parks and watch Disney shows also support age-appropriate education and parental rights."

Nuñez also suggested a duplicity in the stance of the entertainment company, which has a huge theme-park, resort facility in Orlando.

"When Disney attempts to say Florida is not woke enough, while doing business with the repressive Chinese Communist Party, it’s hard to take them seriously," she said.
