Meghan Markle's podcast won't be renewed on Spotify for a second season, report

Meghan Markle's "Archetypes" podcast reportedly will not be renewed for a second season on Spotify.

Producers of the show were told that the new season will not be taking place, though it was discussed as a possibility, according to Fox News.

"The team behind ‘Archetypes’ remain proud of the podcast they created at Spotify. Meghan is continuing to develop more content for the ‘Archetypes’ audience on another platform," a spokeswoman for the couple’s Archewell Productions media company said, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The duchess of Sussex recently signed a deal with a talent agency called WME, where discussions are taking place about a new platform for her content, according to sources. 

Spotify, the subscription-based, audio-content website site, recently laid off 200 employees, including a lot of audio engineers.
