Top Congressman rails against the marketing of transgender products to young children
Grothman said he believes that another reason transgenderism is a more common trend is because of how much it is being promoted in schools.
Wisconsin GOP Rep. Glenn Grothman called out marketing campaigns Tuesday that promote transgenderism to minors.
"Budweiser [is] a prime example of that," Grothman told the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "Target is another example that if we're going to promote that stuff, you're going to get inside the little children's heads, and you're going to have more and more people adapt that lifestyle."
Retail giant Target has lost billions in market value amid public outcry over its offering of LGBTQ-themed clothing for children.
The company attracted bad press last month over its offering of such items, which included children's clothing, books, and dog toys. Among the most controversial were "tuck-friendly" swimsuits intended for transgender adults.
Budweiser had a similar experience where it had a decline in sales over a controversial partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
Grothman said he believes that another reason transgenderism is a more common trend is because of how much it is being promoted in schools.
"The reason we have this big increase in transgenders who we're supposed to deal with, is we publicize it," he explained. "We talk about it in the schools, even with first or second graders."
"But in the long term, you're hurting so many of these kids," he concluded.
