Winning $1.3 billion Powerball numbers drawn after delays
The winner may choose between a lump sum payment of $621 million or $1.326 billion paid out over 29 years.
A lottery ticket sold in Oregon won the Powerball jackpot worth more than $1.3 billion on Sunday after the drawing, which is typically held Saturday evening, was delayed several hours due to security procedures.
The winning numbers for the white balls were 22, 27, 44, 52 and 69 and the red Powerball is 9, according to Powerball.com.
The drawing was delayed because one of the participating lotteries needed extra time to complete pre-draw procedures that "protect the security and integrity of the Powerball game," the Multi-State Lottery Association said.
It is unclear which lottery delayed the drawing. Powerball tickets are sold for $2 in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The drawing was set to be held at 10:59 p.m. ET on Saturday, but the winning numbers were not drawn until 2:45 a.m. ET due to the delay.
The winner may choose between a lump sum payment of $621 million or $1.326 billion paid out over 29 years. Both prizes are before taxes.
