Dow adds 250 points as oil prices continue to climb
Oil prices are rising as demand creeps back into the market
The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 250 points Tuesday as the markets opened. The S&P 500 gained 1.06%.
U.S. futures were up this morning as oil prices added value for the fifth day in a row and major U.S. companies continue to phase out their plans to reopen.
The CEO of Starbucks announced Tuesday morning that the company is planning to reopen 85% of its U.S. locations by the end of this week.
Airline shares were bouncing a bit on Tuesday morning, after they plummeted Monday amid news that Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffett's fund, announced this weekend that they'd dumped all airline holdings during the pandemic.
Major European indexes are ending their trading day up just under 2%.
