Judicial Watch announced Tuesday that it has filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the Justice Department for records of communications between the FBI and social media sites regarding the Hunter Biden laptop story.

"We want records the State Department has about Hunter Biden," Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "They were already worried about what he was doing in Ukraine and in Russia not much out of the China side of the State Department. Where are those records?"

This lawsuit filed by the conservative watchdog group occurred after the FBI failed to give the group records requested in August that were between the FBI and employees of social media companies such as Meta and Twitter.

Fitton said that the government worked with Big Tech to protect the Biden family before the 2020 presidential election. An example would be the New York Post's twitter account getting banned for reporting on the laptop story.

"What about the FBI intervention, for instance, in the effort to protect Hunter Biden and Joe Biden, just before the election?" Fitton questioned.

The Judicial Watch president said that he believes that its going to be revealed that President Biden's son Hunter was involved in a lot of mishandling of classified information.

"I think you're going to see Hunter Biden embroiled in this mishandling of classified information," stated Fitton. "Because who else had a motive and the opportunity other than Joe Biden to use and look at these records? I think we're gonna find Joe wasn't using them. I think we're gonna find out that the most likely culprit is Hunter."
