Sovereignty won the 151st Kentucky Derby on Saturday evening, galloping to victory on a ran-soake

Observers were closely watching Luxor Cafe (jockey Joao Moreira), Journalism (jockey Umberto Rispoli), Sovereignty (jockey Junior Alvarado) and Admire Daytona (jockey Christophe Lemaire).

There were 19 horses competing in the race. 

Sovereignty was the horse that ultimately came out on top and won the race.
