Paxton listed as speaker at CPAC 2026, rival Cornyn reportedly missing the event

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is scheduled to speak at the upcoming Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) but his rival, Republican Texas Sen. John Cornyn, is reportedly not attending.

Both were invited to speak at the event, which is taking place in Texas this year.

A spokesperson for Cornyn said the senator will not attend the event give3n that the Senate will be in session and voting during the week of the conference, according to a report from the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Paxton is challenging Cornyn in the GOP primary, which is headed to a runoff.
