Jersey Mike's managed to take the top spot as America's No.1 fast food restaurant, unseating Chick-fil-A, which held the spot for 11 consecutive years, according to a new report.

This was the first year the American Customer Satisfaction Index included the New Jersey-based sandwich chain, which filed for an initial public offering in July, and it edged out Chick-fil-A by a single point. Behind Chick-fil-A was Jimmy John's, Panda Express and KFC. Interestingly, widely recognized McDonald's came in last in the rankings of over two dozen fast food restaurants.

The index has measured customer satisfaction for more than three decades, and it's based on 16,464 Americans surveyed between April 2025 and March 2026.

The index also includes rankings for full-service restaurants, which put LongHorn Steakhouse, the Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden and Applebee's at the top.
