Congresswoman on Biden not sending diplomats to China Olympics: ‘the very bare minimum, scraping the bottom of the bucket’ of what he could do
Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) responds to the Biden Administration not sending diplomatic representatives to the 2022 China Winter Olympics, saying it ‘is the very bare minimum, scraping the bottom of the bucket of what this administration could do’, commenting that this action is not ‘being tough on China’. The Congresswoman notes that there are ‘many other ways that we should and could be holding China accountable for their gross human rights violations’, highlighting that ‘the fact that there is an active genocide happening right now in mainland China is an egregious fact’. She says allowing China ‘the ability to host the Olympics’ and the United States attending is helping to ‘highlight’ and ‘reward’ them on the ‘global stage’.
