Free vasectomies, abortions for DNC attendees
Planned Parenthood will provide the services at a mobile health clinic during the Democratic National Convention
Democratic National Convention (DNC) attendees will receive complimentary vasectomies and abortions mere blocks from the Chicago event on August 19 and 20.
Planned Parenthood Great Rivers, which covers parts of Missouri and Illinois, will station its mobile health clinic near the DNC, The Daily Caller reported.
Medication abortions are available both days. Vasectomies are limited to August 19.
Vasectomies are in high demand, and new patients must join a waitlist.
"Services will be provided on a sliding-fee scale — pay what you can and get the healthcare you need," according to the vasectomy sign-up sheet.
At present, medication abortion patients are not on a waitlist.
Vice President and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris has strongly backed abortion rights. On the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Harris "kicked off a nationwide pro-abortion tour," according to the outlet.
Harris has also referred to abortion as one of the country's "fundamental freedoms."
