Fox News' Sean Hannity testifies he knew Trump lost the election
Hannity hosted proponents of the idea that the election was stolen, such as Trump campaign attorney Sydney Powell.
Fox News host Sean Hannity, a close ally of former President Donald Trump, testified in a defamation case that he never believed that Trump was cheated out of winning the 2020 presidential election by Dominion Voting Systems.
Election software and hardware company Dominion filed a $1.6 billion defamation suit against Fox News, and Hannity's comments emerged Wednesday in a hearing relating to the case in the Delaware Superior Court, NPR reported.
"I did not believe it for one second," Hannity said under oath during a deposition in August, an attorney for Dominion revealed in court Wednesday.
Fox News Executive Vice President Meade Cooper also said "under oath she never believed the lies about Dominion," said Stephen Shackelford, Jr., an attorney for the voting company.
"Tucker Carlson, he tried to squirm out of it at his deposition," Shackelford said.
Hannity hosted proponents of the idea that the election was stolen, such as Trump campaign attorney Sydney Powell, who is also being sued by Dominion.
