'Let's Go Brandon' rapper releases pro-Trump 'Indicted We Stand'
The chorus is: "Indicted we stand, indicted we fall, Trump get locked up, it's a rap for us all."
Loza Alexander, the rapper who jumped to No. 1 on the iTunes hip-hop charts for his anti-Biden hit song "Let's Go Brandon," rolled out "Indicted We Stand," a new song in which he calls to "free Donald Trump" and "lock Joe Biden up."
Alexander released his newest song Monday on YouTube, the same day former President Trump flew from his home in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, to New York City, where he will be arraigned Tuesday on charges related to hush money paid to adult film actress Stormy Daniels in 2016.
The song opens with the chant of "free Donald Trump," before the phrase alternates with "lock Joe Biden up."
The chorus is: "Indicted we stand, indicted we fall, Trump get locked up, it's a wrap for us all."
Alexander told Real America's Voice that he wrote the song "to be a voice for the people" and that he felt compelled to speak out because he sees the indictment of Trump as an attack on the Constitution.
Alexander is battling cancer, and he also said that also influenced his decision to write the song.
"Having cancer is unpredictable," he said. "So I wanted to ... make something happen, you know, and, and be remembered as somebody who stood up for this country."
The song's music video has already been overwhelmingly approved by viewers. Less than 12 hours after Alexander posted the music video on YouTube, it had more than 3,100 views and 1,300 "likes," and just 10 "dislikes." For comparison, the White House's latest video, which was posted five days ago and shows a meeting between Biden and Argentinian president Alberto Fernandez, has more than 5,700 views, 185 "likes" and 723 "dislikes."
Alexander's rendition of "Let's Go Brandon" topped the iTunes hip-hop chart and hit second place for all iTunes songs in October 2021. He wrote the song based on the "Let's go Brandon" meme that started when NASCAR fans chanted "F*** Joe Biden," but NBC reporter Kelli Stavast said they were cheering on the race's winner, Brandon Brown, by yelling "Let's go Brandon."
