Liz Harrington says the American people crave common sense, Trump is top pick
'They want common sense. They want what we had under President Trump's historic first term,' Harrington said.
Former President Trump's spokeswoman Liz Harrington says that the American people are craving common sense and want the 45th president back in office.
"The American people, really it's all across political lines, they see what's going on," Harrington said on the Thursday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "They want common sense. They want what we had under President Trump's historic first term."
In a recent McLaughlin & Associates poll, Trump had an almost 40 point lead over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who announced his candidacy last month.
The survey also showed Trump with a modest lead over President Joe Biden in the general election, with 47% of respondents indicating they would support the former president compared to 43% who would back the current commander-in-chief.
The poll had Biden's approval rating at 41%, while 56% disapproved of his handling of the job.
Harrington argued that Trump was unique among the candidates in the race.
"He is the only one who will deliver real results and a real chance to this country and hold the corrupt ruling class to account," she stated.
