New York City frenemies President Trump and Michael Bloomberg have extended their long-standing attacks on each other with a galactic Twitter battle.

Bloomberg and Trump’s off-and-on professional relationship dates back to when Bloomberg, a former 2020 presidential candidate, was New York City mayor in the early- and mid-2000s, and Trump was a Manhattan real estate magnate.

Their feud appeared to enter outer space Wednesday when Bloomberg ended his self-funded Democratic White House bid after being on the ballot for just one primary day.

Within hours of Bloomberg’s exit, Trump tweeted four times.

Bloomberg responded by posting a brief "Star Wars" clip depicting a lightsaber battle between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

“You can’t win Darth,” Obi-Wan Kenobi declares. “If you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.”

The 6-foot-plus president on Thursday shot back with a video clip mocking Bloomberg’s shorter stature.

The clip is from the movie "Spaceballs" and shows Trump and Bloomberg's faces laid over the heads of the characters. On Thursday it was pinned to the president’s Twitter profile.

Trump is in a reelection year and has attacked essentially all of the Democratic challengers — a tactic he honed during his 2016 primary and general election campaigns.

During Bloomberg’s brief White House bid, Trump occasionally poked fun at Bloomberg, calling him “Mini Mike.” He did so as recently as the 2020 Conservative Political Action Conference, last week in Washington, where he stooped behind the podium during a speech to mock Bloomberg’s stature.

Bloomberg responded to the president's Thursday jab, posting a compilation video that eventually concludes with the hashtags "#DUMPTRUMP" and "#GOJOE."
