Former President Donald Trump endorsed four Republicans who are challenging incumbent GOP Texas State House members who voted to impeach state Attorney General Ken Paxton.

In a series of Truth Social posts Tuesday, Trump voiced his support for Republican primary candidates Liz Case, Mike Olcott, Alan Schoolcraft and Helen Kerwin ahead of Texas' March 5 primary.

The four candidates, respectively, are running against incumbent Reps. Stan Lambert, Glenn Rogers, John Kuempel and DeWayne Burns, all of whom Trump called RINOs, a pejorative acronym for "Republican in Name Only," who voted to impeach Paxton. The State Senate acquitted the attorney general in September on all articles, which were related to allegations of bribery and abuse of public trust.

All of the endorsement posts pledged virtually the same things:  that the candidates Trump supports will fight for school choice, lower taxes, the Second Amendment, an improved economy, secure elections and border security.

The primary challengers are also endorsed by Republican Gov. Greg Abbott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, Paxton and other Texas conservatives, Trump said in his posts.

This is not the first time that Trump has endorsed a challenger against a Republican who supported Paxton's impeachment. Late last month, the former president endorsed David Covey, a Republican who is primarying Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan.
