Trump said Republicans must "work together" to defeat Democrats, "Fake News Media"
Former President Trump has endorsed Republican Tudor Dixon in her challenge to unseat Michigan Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and called Dixon's running mate, Shane Hernandez, an "outstanding person."
Trump, who endorsed Dixon in her GOP primary victory, said Monday in a Truth Social post that Dixon "MUST defeat" Whitmer.
"I have talked to Tudor about the race and her choice of a running mate, Shane Hernandez." Trump wrote. "Since then, I have checked and found him to be an outstanding person. In fact, he was named Michigan's most Conservative legislator, and is strongly committed to Election Integrity. The MAGA movement should support the ticket!"
He also voiced support for Michigan GOP attorney general nominee Matt DePerno and Secretary of State nominee Kristina Karamo.
Dixon, who won the GOP primary by more than 40% earlier this month, thanked Trump for his support.
Hernandez also thanked the former president stating: "A united front is the only way to defeat Gretchen Whitmer this November."
