Former President Donald Trump on Saturday received the endorsement for president in the 2024 election from the National Rifle Association at its 153rd annual meeting.

"Ladies and gentlemen today marks a pivotal moment," said National Director of the NRA, Randy Kozuch. "We're not just endorsing a leader, we're igniting the lamp of liberty across our great nation."

Trump is the keynote speaker at the NRA annual meeting and thanked the organization for the endorsement.

"It's a true honor to be here today...to receive the endorsement of the proud American patriots at the NRA," Trump said. "These are great patriots. These are great people."

Trump first received the NRA endorsement when he ran for president in 2016.

"We're going to win this election at levels that nobody's ever seen before. Thank you very much for that endorsement – means a lot to me," Trump said.
