Trump says Iran attack against Israel wouldn't have happened under him
Trump also said that neither Russia's war in Ukraine nor the Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel would have happened on his watch.
Former President Donald Trump said that Iran would have never attacked Israel while he was in the Oval Office and it is happening now because the United States is displaying "weakness" on the global stage.
"I want to say God Bless the people of Israel. They're under attack right now. That's because we show great weakness," Trump said on Saturday evening at a rally in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania.
"The weakness that we've shown, it's unbelievable and it would not have happened if we were in office," Trump also said. "Everybody knows that. But America prays for Israel. We send our absolute support to everyone In harm's way. This is an attack that would not have happened."
Trump also said that neither Russia's war in Ukraine nor the Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel would have happened on his watch.
If reelected this November, Trump pledged he would bring stability to the world.
"We will return the world to peace through strength and it'll happen very quick. We'll revive American strength abroad and we will restore American strength at home," he said. "We were respected four years ago all over the world. Today we are considered a joke. It's not going to be for long, believe me."
Trump also made a series of posts on Truth Social about his support for Israel.

This is not the first time Trump has said a war would not have happened if he were president. Trump made such comments days after Russia invaded Ukraine.
