Trump signs half trillion dollar small business coronavirus relief package into law
The bill is being called "Phase 3.5" of Congress and the White House's coronavirus relief effort
On Friday President trump signed the $484 billion small business relief package into law, following its near unanimous passage in the House and Senate. The bill will replenish the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), in addition to offering some relief to hospitals that have been ravaged by the pandemic.
The Small Business Administration (SBA) will begin taking loan applications again early next week, perhaps even on Monday, according to some reports. The SBA, which includes the "PPP" ran out of funds last Thursday following a flood of applications from small businesses across the country.
The United States is currently reporting close to 900,000 positive cases of coronavirus, and passed the 50,000 death toll on Friday.
