More Americans think they'll need more time before feeling safe without a mask in public
It could be six months or longer before some Americans feel safe going out in public without a mask
Would you feel comfortable going out without a mask now? How about in three months, or even six months? Or, you might be among the few who would never be comfortable without one from now on.
A survey a few months ago in May showed that many voters thought they would feel safe enough to stop wearing masks by now. It also showed that at the time, only 25% of people thought that it would be at least 6 months before they’d feel safe going out without a mask, including 6% who said they’d “never feel safe” without one in public.
However, today’s Number of the Day sings a slightly different tune.
Now, 34% of voters say that it will be at least six months before they feel safe going out in public without a mask. This includes 9% of people who say they will “never feel safe” without one in public.
Scott Rasmussen’s Number of the Day explains why these numbers are climbing in his most recent podcast.
