Rep. Matt Gaetz, the Republican congressman from Florida, has introduced legislation to ban U.S. tax dollars appropriated for coronavirus relief from going to Chinese state-owned companies.

The move comes after criticism of China's early response and transparency during the pandemic that started inside its borders and its false insinuations that the disease may have started with U.S. troops.
