The Newport News six-year-old boy who shot first-grade teacher Abby Zwerner in early January will not face charges, authorities have confirmed.
Newport News Commonwealth's Attorney Howard Gwynn told local News 3 that "We do not believe the law supports charging and convicting a 6-year-old with aggravated assault."
