Biden to sit down with Stephanopoulos for first post-debate interview, portions to air on Friday
The extended version of the interview is scheduled to air publicly on Sunday on ABC's This Week and later on Monday's edition of GMA.
President Joe Biden will sit down for his first interview since his controversial debate performance with ABC's George Stephanopoulos, former White House communication director for former President Bill Clinton, which is set to air on Sunday.
Parts of the interview will air on World News Tonight on Friday night and the weekend editions of Good Morning America.
The extended version of the interview is scheduled to air publicly on Sunday on ABC's This Week and later on Monday's edition of GMA.
In 2021, Stephanopoulos scored an exclusive interview with Biden during the fallout from his withdraw from Afghanistan, which led to the death of 13 service members.
The interview comes at a time when the vast majority of voters, 75%, think Democrats would have a better chance of winning the White House in November if President Biden is not the party's nominee, according to a post-debate CNN poll released on Tuesday that was conducted by SSRS.
