Fetterman says he won't release his full medical records after May stroke
"My doctor believes I'm fit to be serving," Fetterman says
Democratic Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman said during the debate against his opponent, Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz, that he won't release his full medical records after suffering a stroke in May.
"No, to be for transparency is about showing up. I'm here to have a debate," Fetterman said on Tuesday evening.
When pressed on the issue, Fetterman said, "My doctor believes I'm fit to be serving."
Closed captioning was provided during the debate at the request of Fetterman, the Pa. lieutenant governor. The closed captioning was visible to him and Oz on monitors.
