Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is praising the Republican Party for its inclusiveness and President Trump for steadfastly supporting law enforcement.

"We are the all-inclusive party — the Republican Party — we always have been. We were the party of Abe Lincoln and Frederick Douglass," Bondi, who spoke at the 2020 Republican National Convention earlier this week, said during an interview on the John Solomon Reports podcast.

The GOP convention has featured speakers including Richard Grenell, an openly gay man who previously was the U.S. Ambassador to Germany and served as the acting Director of National Intelligence; Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron, an African-American; and Sunshine State businessman Maximo Alvarez, who was born in Cuba.

During the interview, Bondi said that President Donald Trump will "keep America safe" and that he supports U.S. law enforcement and those serving in the nation's military.

The president "backs our men and women in blue, he backs our military, he backs our first responders, and he will make sure they're safe," Bondi said.

She praised police and said that they "are out there saving lives every day, making it safe so we can go to school so we can go to work, so we can go to church so people can take their kids to parks and live safely in our beautiful country."

Bondi said that the Biden family became enriched during the former vice president's tenure in the Obama administration.

"They all got rich off his vice presidency, there is no denying that, we all know that," she said.

The former state attorney general brought up the candidate's son, Hunter Biden, whose business dealings have been the subject of public scrutiny. She said that despite having "no qualifications," the younger Biden's firm raked in millions as he served on the board of the Burisma Holdings gas firm in Ukraine while his father oversaw U.S.-Ukraine relations.
