Republican Rep. Greg Pence, the brother of former Vice President Mike Pence, said Tuesday that he is not running for reelection after serving three terms representing Indiana's 6th Congressional District.
"In 2017, I ran for Congress because I was Ready to Serve Again. As a former Marine Officer, I approached the job with purpose. After three terms, I've made the decision to not file for reelection," Pence wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
He pledged that he and his staff would continue serving constituents until his term ends at the beginning of 2025.
Pence is one of 17 Republicans who are leaving their positions in the House for various reasons after this term, while 22 Democrats are doing the same, according to the House Casualty List.
