Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) Chairman Matt Schlapp praised Lara Trump and Michael Whatley for focusing on elections as new chairs of the Republican National Committee (RNC).

"I have to give Michael Whatley and Lara Trump a lot of credit at the RNC," he said on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "They've got a tough job to do. They got to make up for some lost time. I know that Chairman Whatley understands election law well, and he understands how the RNC works."

Last month, the RNC elected former North Carolina GOP Chairman Whatley and former President Donald Trump's daughter-in-law Lara Trump as co-chairs.

"He was a very able chairman in North Carolina, where we didn't read about a lot of voting irregularities in that state," Schlapp said. "He's going to bring that knowledge to the RNC. I'm very glad that he's there."

Last month, the RNC filed an election integrity lawsuit against the Michigan secretary of state, alleging that she had worked to covertly undercut the state's absentee voting safeguards.

He also praised Lara Trump for taking the lead in finances of the organization.

"I think Americans are waking up to the fact that we might not be able to survive four more years of Joe Biden, and I think Donald Trump's gonna be our next president," Schlapp said.
