Former President Donald Trump is projected to win the Maine Republican primary on Super Tuesday, notching a win in a state that had attempted to remove him from the ballot under the 14th Amendment.

The Associated Press called the race for Trump, who earned 71.6% support as of 10:30 p.m. with 62% of the vote reporting. Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley trailed with 26.6%.

Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows had previously determined that Trump was ineligible to appear on the state ballot due to his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, capitol riot, though the question in Maine was paused court until the Supreme Court issued a ruling in a similar case involving Colorado.

Bellows withdrew her determination that Trump was ineligible after the Supreme Court this week ruled 9-0 that states can't disqualify Trump under the 14th Amendment.
