Lara Trump, retired pro wrestler Hulk Hogan and rapper Pitbull are being floated as replacements for Florida GOP Sen. Marco Rubio since his nomination by President-elect Donald Trump to become the country's next secretary of State.

Alabama GOP Sen. Katie Britt has been among the most vocal cheerleaders for Trump, the president-elect's daughter-in-law and co-chairperson of the Republican National Committee, which this election cycle helped the GOP have control over the White House, Senate and House.

"She just got off a historic win," Britt said told the news outlet Axios. "She understands the America First agenda. For me, I think she would be a tremendous pick, a voice for hard working families and another mom of school aged kids that understands what we're up against, and that's to fight to protect the American dream."

Rubio's replacement will be appointed by Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis and would serve until a special election takes place in 2026. The winner would finish Rubio's six-year term that expires in 2009.

Republican strategist and CNN commentator Scott Jennings playfully suggested earlier this week Hogan – the most popular wrestler of the Reagan era and who spoke at the Republican National Convention in support of Trump in July – should be considered for the seat.

"He's a real American," Jennings said on air while wearing a "Hulkamania," sweater under his blazer. "He knows that courage is the thing that keeps us free."

Music fans online are calling on DeSantis to choose Pitbull, a popular recording artist of Cuban descent who was born in Miami.

However, Pitbull said in 2016 that he did not support Trump, which likely makes him a long-shot choice for the job.
