Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris sent letters to historically black colleges and universities, urging students to vote in the upcoming election.

The letter was sent as an ad via Watch The Yard, which publishes stories about black colleges and black Greek organizations.

“Your vote has never mattered more,” the letter reads, according to MSNBC. “I know that when young people fight for progress, it changes the course of our nation. I believe in you. I am inspired by you. And I am rooting for you.”

Recently Harris's campaign has launched a "back to school" campaign to urge university students around the country to vote in the 2024 election.

Harris attended Howard University, a prominent HBCU and recently spoke at her alma mater.

She said her time at the university had a “profound impact” on her politically engagement.
