Colorado GOP Rep. Ken Buck announced Wednesday that he will not seek reelection.

He cited the Republican Party's election denialism and certain members' refusal to condemn the Jan. 6. attacks for his decision, according to the New York Times

“I’m going to be leaving Congress. I’m not going to be leaving the party and I’m not going to be leaving my role in trying to talk truth to the public,” he said during an MSNBC interview

"I have always been disappointed with our inability in Congress to deal with major issues," he added. "I'm also disappointed that the Republican Party continues to rely on this lie that the 2020 election was stolen."

He said that it is time for him to go and do other things.
