Noem says saw and heard about 'illegal activity' while campaigning in states for President Trump

South Dakota GOP Gov. Kristi Noem said Thursday that she saw "illegal activity” in the 2020 presidential elections but stopped short of saying that it was a coordinated effort or part of a master plan to rig the election.

"I did see illegal activity. I did see that going on. But I don't think it was one big situation," Noem said on “America 180!” with David Brody, on justthenews.com.

In a wide ranging interview, Noem also said Republicans must do a better job of communicating their pro-life message, and she made clear a top priority is to help fellow Republicans do whatever it takes to defeat Democrat President Joe Biden.

Noem said she heard stories about – and saw first hand – illegal voting activities while campaigning in 17 states for President Trump in 2020, including a voter telling her that she received six ballots in the mail. 

She said she talks to Trump essentially every day and praised the work he did for her state while president, saying his policies were "great for South Dakota." 

However, she wouldn't go as far as to say yes to Brody’s question of whether she’ll support him in 2024.

"We need to get Joe Biden out of the White House. So whatever effort it takes to get that done, I’m supportive of that," said Noem, who is considered a top potential 2024 GOP vice presidential candidate. 

Noem, who is pro-life, also said Republicans have not done a good job of conveying their pro-life message – amid polling that shows overall support for abortion rights on the rise. 

"The communication has not been fantastic," said Noem, who also encouraged Republicans in the nation’s capital and on the campaign trail, as well as other pro-life supporters, to have a strategy for making sure "the American people see our heart."

"Be pro-life and explain why you are," she also said.
