Meadows removed from North Carolina voter rolls amid voter fraud probe

North Carolina officials have removed former Trump White House chief of staff and Congressman Mark Meadows from state voter rolls amid a voter-fraud investigation.

Meadows was removed Monday upon the officials having learning he was a registered to vote in September 2020 at a mobile home in Scaly Mountain, N.C., where he does not reside and that he had most recently voted in Virginia in 2021. 

"The Macon County Board of Elections administratively removed the voter registration of Mark Meadows," said a North Carolina State Board of Elections spokesman. "No formal challenge has been received by the Macon County Board of Elections. We are referring questions about the investigation to the State Bureau of Investigation."

A spokesperson for the investigation bureau confirmed a probe into Meadows' voter registration.

Meadows has thus far declined to comment on the matter.
