House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appears to have run out of patience for questions about the sexual assault claim recently lodged against Joe Biden by former Senate aide Tara Reade.

Pelosi, a Democrat like Biden, the party's presumptive presidential nominee, on Tuesday night on MSNBC's "The Beat with Ari Melber," shut down the host as he attempted to question her on her view of the case.

“I believe him when he says it didn’t happen … I’m not going to answer these questions again,” said Pelosi, who just days ago endorsed Biden.

“I have every confidence that Joe Biden will be a great President of the United States,” the leader of the Democrat-controlled House also said.

A near constant refrain throughout the Reade allegations has been the media and politicians' comparing the handling of the case against Biden to the case brought by Christine Blasey Ford against now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

This is not the first time in recent days that the House speaker has reprimanded a reporter for asking her opinion of the case against Biden. Last week, during a press briefing, when a Washington Examiner reporter asked about her thoughts on the allegations against Biden and the treatment of his case compared to the case against Kavanaugh she retorted "I don't need a lecture or a speech."

Earlier this week, Biden's request that the Senate locate Reade's 1993 complaint against him was, on advice of council, denied by the secretary of the Senate.
