A federal judge on Monday dismissed high profile attorney Sidney Powell's lawsuit that alleged widespread voter fraud across Georgia during the presidential election last month.

Judge Timothy Batten, who sits on the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, said in dismissing the case the plaintiffs "simply do not have standing to bring these claims." He also said the plaintiffs waited too long to bring the lawsuit and that the case should have been brought before a state court, not a federal one.

Batten said that he is unwilling to overturn the results of the election in Georgia, and that the request to do so is the most "extraordinary relief ever sought in any federal court in connection with an election."

Powell, a pro-President Trump attorney, has since Nov. 3 filed several suits alleging voter fraud in contested states including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin. Earlier on Monday, a federal judge in Michigan denounced Powell's lawsuit there.

Georgia election officials say that they will re-certify the state's election results on Monday, following a second recount that took place last week.
