Trump endorses Pastor Mark Burns for South Carolina's 3rd Congressional District
Burns is a pastor and televangelist in South Carolina and was one of the early backers of Trump's presidential bid in 2016.
Presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump on Saturday endorsed Pastor Mark Burns for South Carolina's 3rd Congressional District.
"Pastor Mark Burns is running hard for South Carolina’s 3rd Congressional District," Trump wrote on TRUTH Social. "He has been with me right from the beginning, 2016, and even earlier than that. Mark wanted me to run long before it was fashionable!"
Burns is a pastor and televangelist in South Carolina and was one of the early backers of Trump's presidential bid in 2016.
He is the pastor at the Harvest Praise & Worship Center. He has also served six years in the South Carolina Army National Guard.
The South Carolina GOP primary will take place June 25. Burns will be facing Republican opponent Sheri Biggs.
"In Congress, Mark will help me Secure the Border, Stop Illegal Immigration, Uphold the Rule of Law, Grow the Economy, and Protect and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment," Trump's TRUTH Social post continued.
Trump called Burns a fighter and said he would not let South Carolinians down.
