America’s three most recent presidents barnstormed Pennsylvania on Saturday as Donald Trump implored voters to create a “red wave” in Tuesday’s midterm elections while Joe Biden and Barack Obama argued a Republican win will create long-term consequences.
The appearances made clear the Keystone State was ground zero for Tuesday’s battle for control of Congress, including its marquee Senate race pitting Republican Mehmet Oz against Democrat John Fetterman.
"If you want to stop the destruction of our country and save the American Dream then this Tuesday you must vote Republican in a giant way," Trump told a rally Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe.
The 45th president also hinted he will make public his decision imminently on whether to run in 2024.
“We’re winning big in the Republican Party for the nomination like nobody’s ever seen before," Trump said, adding that his supporters “are going to be so happy" very soon.
“You're going to be surprised at how soon,” he teased.
He also took a strong jab at his nearest rival,
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, as he read off the latest 2024 polling preferences for Republican voters.
“There it is, Trump at 71%, Ron DeSanctimonious at 10%," Trump told the crowd.
“Mike Pence at seven. Mike is doing better than I thought," he added. "Liz Cheney there’s no way she’s at 4%. There’s no way. There’s no way. But we’re at 71 to 10 to 7 to 4."
Across the state, Obama and Biden rallied Democrats to support Fetterman,
suggesting a republican win with deliver decades of consequences.
“Two years ago, you used that power to make Donald Trump not only a former president, but you made him a defeated president," Biden told an audience in Philadelphia. "And this year, you have the power to make John Fetterman your next senator
